We took many things into consideration when deciding what games deserved a spot on this list and after careful analysis we managed to pick out three amazing games. One of the key reasons all these games are in this list is the fact that they’re all innovative. Every single one of these seems to be the kind of thing that changes the traditional formula and implements new features that would provide players a refreshing experience.

Alongside this, they all look sensational as well. These games have gone through a few open beta phases and they’ve impressed every single time. They have some of the greatest visuals that we’ve ever seen in an MMO and everyone can agree that visuals play a pretty key role in deciding how good a game really is.

The following games are those that we think will revolutionize the MMO genre in 2016.

Blade and Soul



Blade and Soul has been teasing the western audience for many years now. There have been multiple different beta phases and lots of trailers and over the years, fans have grown eager and eager to play this game. It’s finally about to be released in 2016 and almost every single person who’s even remotely into MMORPGs is hyped for it. The game utilizes martial arts style combat and has a fantastic setting that will definitely appeal to all players.

Overwatch

Over the years, shooter games have almost always utilized the same tried and true formula that's been popular in the genre for many years but Overwatch is about to change all that. The game implements multiple different MOBA elements like different characters and special abilities that will add a lot of depth to the game. Overwatch promises fast-paced and action packed gameplay that players can engage themselves in. On top of this the visuals seem to be really bright and the animations we’ve seen in the beta were absolutely phenomenal.

Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance

Anyone who’s ever played any MMO game will have heard the name Lineage. Lineage was a really popular MMORPG that had one of the most massive player-bases ever but it eventually started dying out when newer and more groundbreaking competition came out. Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance seems to be the game that puts Lineage on the map once again. It’s a fantasy styled MMORPG with amazing character development, phenomenal combat and some of the best visuals we’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing in the MMORPG genre.

All things considered, 2016 should definitely be a good year for MMOs because many amazing games are sure to surface other than the ones we’ve mentioned above. If you ever get the chance you should definitely try them out.
