Adventure Quest Worlds is an online browser based MMORPG game that has been around for many years now and is still going strong with an enormous playerbase to back it up. There are many reasons for the success of this game and one of these is probably the fact that is updated very often which keeps the game fresh for all the players.
As with all MMORPG games, you start off Adventure Quest Worlds by creating a character of your own choice. You select from one of four different classes and then customize your character according to your preferences. Once you’ve successfully created your character you’ll be plunged into the game world and will be greeted with a tutorial quest that will help you get the hang of the game.
The aforementioned tutorial quest starts out with some dialogue between key characters that explains the core plot of the game. Once this dialogue ends your character will be forced to battle with a wave of foes and once you’ve defeated these foes you’ll be given a reward for completing the quest and the plot will be explained to you even further.
The gameplay of Adventure Quest worlds is mostly point and click and the combat of the game is turn based. While turn based combat might not appeal to many in this era of action based combat MMORPGs, it is still a fun way to go about it and adds a lot more strategic depth than action oriented combat since there will be a lot of stats to keep track of.
As for visuals and sound, since the game is a 2D browser based game, there’s not much to say about it but overall the environments and character design really look nice and the sound effects heard in battle also make it much more immersive.
Perhaps the best thing about Adventure Quest Worlds is the fact that it is absolutely loaded with stuff to do. Once a player gets a solid grip on the basic controls of the game it’s really common for the player to get lost in all the game has to offer. There are a ton of quests to do and the game world is just massive and waiting to be explored.
The variety of the game doesn’t just end at the quests and the world as there is an enormous cash shop in the game. The cash shop consists of ‘premium’ items that you can purchase by using the premium currency that is either acquired by either getting it with real world money or by completing certain quests in the game. All in all, the cash shop in Adventure Quest Worlds has something for everyone.
