Social Wars is a Facebook based RTS (Real-time Strategy game) glorified by touches of a futuristic setting and ported over the social network. In this game, you are tasked to start a small operations base and put things together in order to have it grow from ground up, scour for valuable resources, expand your territory, and amass a bunch of army units to fight your missions, and ultimately share influence in the battlefield.
At the onset, you’ll be given your own plot of land already with your command center built on its center. Primarily, before getting lost over the game, a short tutorial will play its course towards getting you familiarized with the basics of the game. This includes short fetch quest to have you grip over the battles in the game, recruiting workers and soldiers, and putting together group of units to perform a specific task.
This tutorial phase will run its course to even get you started with some missions (harbor) in the game. Every mission has 3 levels of difficulty which are unlocked as you beat a prior difficulty level. The main difference over the levels is the number of enemies you’ll get to face every section of the map in that pertaining stage. As the level gets higher, the higher loots you get to obtain after the expedition, coupled by bonuses upon meeting specific requirements such as beating the stage without casualties, or obliterating all facilities therein and the like.
Other quests are also sequenced over the city-build scene to fetch you items that will generally boost your resources in the game. You may try to move your army around the surrounding area to run amok evil orcs lurking the area, earn keys, capture gold and oil reserves, and many more. You may train workers to perform these resource gather tasks including lumber by cutting surrounding trees.
The game enlist several build elements – each contributing a certain function in your operations. The houses for example, are needed to house more people as you recruit more workers or fighting units in your game. Other facilities include barracks to train soldiers, a robot research facility to upgrade your robot, and many more.
Overall, Social Wars is a really fun, social, and competitive game – that pretty much covers the hours and hours of playing the game. There is the option to form alliances with other friendlies over the network to establish a rewarding partnership between parties, and fight missions together. Players may also participate over the peer based battles to showcase their relative influence in the battlefield. Given that the game enlist several varieties of fighting units to earn – makes an interesting bunch of plausible army setup. Simply put, the game offers a lot to be enjoyed and get you entertained.
