Build an army to take on the more powerful Empire that has enslaved Aestus.
Grow your base and be able to defend against player attacks.
Go on cooperative raids with other players to become Steam more powerful in battle.
Steampunk and strategy gaming come together in this amazing browser-based MMO strategy, Steampire. In this game, you command a fledgling army of the resistance against the evil Emperor of Aman whose forces have subjugated and colonized the peaceful Empire of Aestus. It is your job to grow your forces, strategically take on the Empire and free Aestus at last.
When you play the game, you’ll be treated to an opening cutscene showing how powerful the Empire of Aman is and how it has humbled and defeated the people of Aestus. Years later, a champion named Steam has come forward to lead the resistance. You, the player, acts as the overlord of the fledgling resistance. Your tasks are to organize and train an army, build adequate defenses for your camp, and attack Imperial outposts as well as other players.
It can feel overwhelming at the beginning of your game, but you have helpful instructions coming your way through the Quests. The Quests are tasks that are important to building a solid foundation for your growing resistance army. It includes building defensive structures like the Ballista, manpower-based structures like the Academy, the Military Camp and many others.
Quests also give you a glimpse on what you can do throughout the game when you’ve learned enough to take it on by yourself. For instance, you are shown how to strategically carry out an attack on an Imperial outpost. It’s easy as clicking on a Unit, dragging an arrow towards where they should be attacking, and leaving the battle to unfold by itself.
However, you don’t just send units at any targets. You have to attack important structures first that will render a camp defenseless. This means attacking Power Stations, the loss of which will render Ballistas and other mechanized defenses useless. Your primary target, of course, is the camp’s town hall.
Attacking, as well as Raiding, will give you rubies for every structure that you destroy. Rubies are necessary to cast spells, which are powerful magic designed to decimate a large number of enemy troops. Spells can turn a battle around, even when you’re up against a numerically superior enemy so collecting rubies should be a priority for you.
You can attack both Imperial bases and bases owned by other players, which constitute Steampire’s Player vs Player (PvP) aspect. No MMO game is complete without this function, after all.
Raiding is a cooperative effort between yourself, an Artificial Intelligence, and a player. You will be raiding an Imperial outpost. You’re expected to back your companions up. If they’re attacking straight ahead to the Town Hall, for instance, you can do your part by using your Marksmen to attack any defensive structure and its corresponding Power Station.
Steampire is a great addition to your list of browser-based MMOs that you play. Best thing is, you only need a Facebook account to play, and you can get one for free if you haven’t already. Steampire Riassunto
