Element is a browser based MMORTS game that feels like a combination of both classical MMORTS elements as well as certain features from the more modern games of the genre. It’s overall a really nice game that’s more than capable of providing players with hours upon hours of enjoyment.
It’s a pretty well-known fact that every single RTS game worth its salt has a pretty steep learning curve simply due to the sheer amount of features there are to learn. Element does an excellent job of easing this learning curve for new players thanks to a really in-depth tutorial that starts as soon as you get into the game for the first time. The tutorial will cover everything you need to know ranging from building your base to attacking your enemies and within a matter of minutes you’ll be well on your way to making good progress in the game.
In terms of gameplay, Element has an insane amount of features to keep you occupied and entertained. As for your base building elements, you’ll be given a lot of options to choose from that’ll help you put together the perfect base that’s exactly according to your preferences. There are many kinds of structures such as army training buildings, resource gathering buildings and defensive structures to assist when your base is attacked. Of course the strength of your base depends solely upon how you manage to put these things together.
The main highlight of Element’s gameplay has to be the really well executed raiding feature that’ll test your strategic thinking and micro-management to its very limits. Attacking in this game is unlike most other games of the genre today; when you decide to raid you’re automatically assigned an opponent through the in-game match-making system, after this you’ll choose how many soldiers and units you’d like to send into battle after which the actual attack commences.
Each base consists of a ton of buildings and you’re completely free to attack whichever building you prefer which is something that not a lot of modern RTS games offer. If the building you attack has enemy units deployed within it, they can contest and the stronger force will win that specific skirmish. In this way the battle keeps continuing until one side exhausts all its forces.
As for looks and visuals, it’s pretty safe to say that Element is without a doubt one of the better looking MMORTS games out there. Since this is after all a browser based game, graphics can be a bit hard to execute but Element does an excellent job of it. The animations are incredibly fluid, the environments and units all have an incredible amount of detail and large scale battles look really good with all the explosive effects going on.
Like most other MMO games, Element has its fair share of micro-transactions. The standard in-game currency is coins and the premium currency is gems. Both of these can be acquired through various in-game means as well as purchased through real world money which is a convenient option to have in case you’re ever short.
Element is a really well executed sci-fi MMORTS game that’s more than capable of providing long durations of enjoyment to all who try it out. Element Streszczenie
